The Challenge
As an independent scholar,
Doc holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in American Studies with a certificate in Women’s Studies from Emory University. As an independent scholar, Doc writes and teaches through a Radical Queer Black Feminist lens, publishing essays, reports, curricula, and opinion pieces. Rooted in the U.S. and Global South with an explicitly decolonial radical queer Black feminist orientation, Doc brings a wide range of knowledge on topics from human rights to cooperative development to self-directed education. They have been building strategy and analysis in various social justice movements and organizations for over 15 years.
