Their consulting practice reflects a commitment to institutional transformation as a necessary strategy for long-term, sustainable systems change rooted in the care and justice for our most vulnerable community members. Noticing a lack of consistency and intentionality in practices of governance, sustainability, and organizational health, as well as strategy and programming that often (intentionally or unintentionally) harm Black womxn (especially those who parent), Doc begins with the feminist axiom “the personal is political.” Doc’s approach works to strengthen organizational structures and health, sharpen analysis of the issues and conditions affecting vulnerable peoples and communities, and move towards healing ourselves and each other as we connect movements across strategies, policies, and collectives to achieve larger impacts in the global landscape.
